Sometimes I hear so much giggling from my two that my heart almost explodes… They giggle the most when they play their imaginative little games together. I hear all about the magic elephants they are riding, the super duper sit (a magic sit that renders the person you are sitting on immobile), Ninja Ellie’s magic powers, they sing “Marry music” to their teddies that are in love with each other and so much more! I love listening to all the wonderful magical things that they imagine!
One afternoon I was listening to them play (well it is hard not to hear them) and they were discussing what they needed to collect to put their magic powers in, they decided to collect a “lovely” concoction of dirt, sand and plants mixed with water although it got me thinking that we could make some magic dust bottles…
So the next time I was at the “cheap shop” I bought a few little confetti stars to add to our collection and that is how the magic begun!
What we used:
- Tiny bottles (from our local “cheap shop”)
- Sensory salt (for recipe look here)
- Confetti glitter stars
- Washi tape to decorate bottles
- Gem stickers to decorate bottles
- Funnels for adding dust to the bottles
Obviously there are no rules when it comes to making your magic wishing dust! It depends on what magic you need your dust for I guess. We had our Guinea pigs Fluff and Nibbles help make ours
As soon as they had made any they needed to test it out!
They all looked so pretty!
A little more “testing”…
As you can see there is lots of “magic” left so best use it outside!
